The Dee-Tex project works with Voluntary and Statutory organisations such as, Flintshire DIP, Wales Probation, Careers Wales and Flintshire Local Voluntary Council. Dee-Tex has developed a Textile Recycling service that has created 9 full time and 7 part time paid roles, provided over 70 paid training opportunities to local residents and raised over £20,000 for local causes.
Having never received any core funding, driven by pure entrepreneurial spirit and drive, the project now operates from a large warehouse, has two retail outlets and is developing a regional strategy around textile recycling with Social Enterprise partners.
