Dee-Tex Project is a Social Enterprise, and a Social Firm, based in Saltney, Flintshire. The Dee-Tex project works with Voluntary and Statutory organisations such as, Flintshire DIP, Wales Probation, Careers Wales and Flintshire Local Voluntary Council. Dee-Tex has developed a Textile Recycling service that has created 9 full time and 7 part time paid roles, provided over 70 paid training opportunities to local residents and raised over £20,000 for local causes.

Having never received any core funding, driven by pure entrepreneurial spirit and drive, the project now operates from a large warehouse, has two retail outlets and is developing a regional strategy around textile recycling with Social Enterprise partners.

CLOTHING BANKS

We have our own distinctive bright PINK clothing banks situated at sites within Flintshire and adjoining areas. Each bank will be allocated to a specific LOCAL Oraganisation, and we will make a donation per tonne collected from these banks to the allocated LOCAL Organisation.

SCHOOL/CLUB COLLECTIONS

We work with LOCAL schools, community centres, churches, Nursery's and other community groups to arrange regular collections of clothing and textiles.
